General Terms

Installation fees and line rental fees are prescribed by the Fibre Network Operator (FNO). Pricing can change if mandated by the FNO, NetCom Wireless will always provide 1 (one) month’s notice to advise of any price changes.

No activation on behalf of the customer will be required as NetCom Wireless will make all the necessary arrangement as needed on behalf of the customer.

Indoor wireless router will not be included. If you already have a wireless router, speeds up to 200 Mbps can be delivered, depending on the speed available of the router’s make and model. Higher speed routers can be obtained by us if needed.

Set-Up Fees

New Installations: NetCom Wireless pays for certain provider and line speed fees on your behalf if they are covered by FNO promotions. However, if these promotions don’t apply, you will be charged the regular installation fee of R1500. If you cancel your service within 12 months or are suspended due to non-payment, the customer will be accountable of the full amount of R1900 installation fee.
The Installation fee only covers the prescribed distance by the provider, up to 20 meters. The Fibre Network operator then charges an additional R180-R220 per meter thereafter (They will first quote, and only upon acceptance of quotation will they proceed with the work).

Migration: If you’ve got Octotel fibre installed and want to switch your internet service provider to NCW, there’s a migration fee of R780 (excluding VAT) that you’ll need to pay before Octotel can finalize the migration process.

Cancellation Fees

If you cancel within 12 months of going live, you are liable to pay back the setup fees of R1950, that were covered on your behalf by NetCom Wireless. The installation fee does not apply if you already have a fibre line installed which is not damaged and still active, however the connection fee will still be applicable upon cancellation.

One calendar month notice period is needed for the cancellation of your services. Please note you are responsible for cancelling your existing services such as ADSL or Fibre with your current service provider (if applicable) when signing up with NetCom Wireless. All cancellations have to be emailed to accounts@netcomwireless.co.za in order to be processed. You will receive a cancellation form to complete accepting any relevant T’s and C’s, cancellations will be accepted upon completion of this process.

Moving Your Fibre Service

Moving home is treated as a cancellation as your ONT cannot be moved and is fixed to the premises. Should the next tenant take over your service, we will transfer the service at no cost to you. Contact fibre@netcomwireless.co.za if this is the case. If you have been a NetCom Wireless client for less than your 1 year term and resume your service at your new home, you will not pay a cancellation fee and the remainder of your previous contract will be added to your new contract. If the provider considers moving an ONT box or Fibre line for any reason as a re-installation, a setup fee will be charged

Shaping and Prioritisation

All NetCom Wireless Fibre To The Home (FTTH) services is unthrottled and unshaped, meaning there is no usage threshold. Please note our speeds cannot be guaranteed as there are many factors that can impact the speed of our services. Fibre To The Home (FTTH) is a best effort service. For 200Mbps or faster line speeds, an upgraded router is essential for peak WiFi speed, please also ensure that your devices are compatible with the speeds of your chosen package.

When do I need to pay

All our Fibre products is of a pre-paid service. If your Fibre is activated within the middle of the month, a pro-rata will be calculated for the remainder of that month and then billed immediately.

Written Off Clients Due to non-payment of Services

Clients who do not make payment will be notified that payment is due immediately. Failure to make payment will result in the Fibre To The Home (FTTH) services being suspended. Payment will still be payable during this time, but access to the internet will be denied. If no payment is still received, NetCom Wireless will hand your services over to the legal team. Once advised by the legal team if payment is not received, our Legal team will move to blacklist and your services will be written off. At this point all cancellation fees will be payable. If payment is then received and the services re-activated, it can take up to 2 (two) business weeks before the service is reactivated and a re-connection fee of R900 will be for customers account.
